Rain Didn’t Dampen the Spirit

Elks Annual Soccer Shoot

Despite gray skies and constant drizzle, spirits were high as the Elks Annual Soccer Shoot thanks to the encouragement of the entire Titusville High School Boys Soccer Shoot under the direction of Dan Hasbrouk. The Team served as scorekeepers and field crew and when the event was over, every participant in the Shoot off had seen sportsmanship at its best. Twenty-three Titusville youths and one Oil City youth participated.

Local youth from four to thirteen vied for trophies and for the privilege of representing Titusville Elks Lodge at State competition. Every participant received a Titusville Elks Soccer Shoot shirt and were treated to lunch. First place winners in each category will compete in State competition at State College in the fall. In the event a first place winner is unable to attend, the second place winner will compete.
