Elks Honor Eagle Scout

Titusville Elks Lodge members attended the Court of Honor for new Eagle Scout Evan Ditty, son of Dave and Christine Ditty. Shawn Marsh, Youth Activities Chair, presented him with a Certificate of Achievement and Exalted Ruler Robert Beauchat with the assistance of PER David Smeltz, gave the Flag charge and presented Ditty an American Flag as a memento of the occasion.

Ditty, who has been involved in Scouting for ten years, earned twenty-five merit badges on his trek to Eagle Scout. His community project for obtaining the Eagle Scout rank was to construct picnic tables for the shelter at St. Titus School. Ditty currently attends Thiel College in Greenville.

Ditty also received recognitions from John Peterson’s office, the PA House of Representatives and Senate, and the Erie Diocese. Titusville Mayor Dennis Paden, issued a proclamation proclaiming Sunday, September 14, as Evan Ditty Day.
